Backwards loan trading betting against the trade to overseas/non-overseas entities on doomed mortgages loaned to people that couldn afford them. Plus a lot of ass backwards math, how do you work for them and not know this was/had/is still transpiring. Now I am not saying they were the route cause but they were a major player.

And yes, back in the 1920's Bank of America was a small time bank out of Los Angeles. When Bank of Italy acquired them they felt that BofA would sell better than BofI. Simple, logical, branding.

Cept they are still doing it . I mean dont get me wrong the business model is perfect, loan money for a house that you know they will default on, get the house back and the money that you lost because you are insured by the federal gov't.

And Andrew, just stop before you get too far ahead of yourself. Lithium Ion batteries are not ticking time bombs. If that were the case then the batteries on all my cordless drills/impacts should have exploded by now.

what they were trying to make it seem like it was :)

not lending to people that cant afford it part at least. theres a debt to income ratio that they must be above in order to be approved. that was set in place so we wouldnt screw over the buyers.
yeah b of a has really messed up in the past, but over the last few years they have been working really hard to make sure stuff like that doesnt occurr.

then again, i dont see the whole picture because im just doing the work.

and andrew, yes where do you get that lithium ion batteries are time bombs?

Lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries are still pretty dangerous, lithium ion has become pretty safe with packaging. When was the last cell phone you saw burst into flames?
