Andrew lets simplify how diesel works, for you.

Diesel is run on combustion only, it takes the heat caused by the force of the cylinder compressing the air within the cylinder walls and head to ignite the diesel. Taking the potential force and turning it into kinetic force. To achieve the explosion the diesel will not ignite unless it is finely dispersed within the cylinder. To do so a mechanical pump is used to pressurize the fuel at a much higher level than a electronic pump can create. It is then injected directly into the cylinder, a process called atomization occurs, and boom you have your power stroke.

So to put it bluntly the compression of a gasoline engine plus the ignition of spark plug will only cause the motor to hydro-lock, thus causing you to grenade your motor.

I lost faith in ours first, and started losing it when the new 90's babies started filtering into the Army. Now, it's a complete loss, and have all expectations of just pure and utter failure.

Dick's Sporting Goods has solid frisbee's. The one in my truck I've had since 2010 so I has some wear on it (seeing as it deployed with me). I'm going to pick up a new one for the meet.

There is a simple fix for this issue and its called ignore. Let me tell you since I was told about this wonderful feature my head has fully healed from repeatedly beating it against the keyboard after reading 90% of the posts that come from some of our youth.

 

Haha true. I thought we have done a better job as a community to prevent such curiosity in our young member.
