End of the quarter for me = not being on the forums. hello friends and Happy New Year!

After taking a little damage last weekend/ spending loot on fixing my spare tire and detailing my truck; I'll be taking it easy for a bit.

Thanks for backing me up Jamie

    And Pat, greatly appreciated

    Below

It wasn't necessarily muddy, just a semi-deep water hole in the sandy wash. I hadn't really gone through anything like this before and would have been fine if I stayed to the right but didn't feel like throwing it in reverse and re-adjusting my line so I just tried to get through the hole with half of my tire in the water. Ended up sinking, more and more, and then realized I needed some help.. learned a lot this trip - unfortunately didn't take many pictures as I was frantically trying to get unstuck before situations got worse. (not staying calm, part of my problem)

I was stuck on the other side of the rock
    [IMG]

Exhaust completely dunked - trying to pull it out at an akward angle
    [IMG]

Trying to pull it out again at a better angle, this is when my buddy's xterra got stuck and I had to walk up the trail to find help.

Finally after 2 hours, lots of shoveling and moving rocks around, and getting my friends truck up in the bushes at the right angle - got it out
    [IMG]

The pics I wish I took:
    - Water filling up in the back of the cab / compartments under back seat
    - Muddy sand and and rocks everywhere in the front of the cab from leaving the window open the first time I tried to get out
    - The xterra getting stuck trying to pull me out, and the gator helping the xterra
    - The hi lift lifting the truck out of the water, while it was half way submerged in the water (sand accessory worked great!)
    - Me building up rocks under the tire with my pants off

    Damage
    - A few dings in pics below
    - Tail light has water in it
    - Touch screen is buggy now
    - After detail, truck still smells a bit

Hi-lift moved while we lifted the deep side
    [IMG]

No idea what did this - but I popped it back out with the go-pro suction accessory
    [IMG]

    Another Hi-lift dent
    [IMG]

    Still have pebbles falling out

The xterra still lives? I'm impressed, you never cross water without checking depth first and you always choose your line wisely, water holes in the sand area always a chance when crossing.

He's still a paduwan when it comes to wheeling. The force is not yet strong with this one.

I really wasn't even trying to "go for it" at all :( I was trying to stay to the right and avoid it but I took the turn a little too wide and start slipping, essentially doing a u-turn

I learn best from my mistakes, which is kind of scary considering I have a lot of learning to do. Gotta save up for my next f'up haha

You're probably going to have to rip out the carpet and get new carpet. More than likely, it's mold/mildew.

Still, overall not too bad for that situation ;)

Not sure how much carpet is but you can get one an ozonator, close the doors on the truck and let it run for a day or so.. It will clear it all up.

^ cheap one but should do the trick.

Seems like that wouldn't really do anything, I'm rather skeptical of something like that. They tried some of that industrial type stuff on my apartment when it flooded, didn't do a damn thing to it and we ended up having to move anyway.
