    the old Mac's used a different architecture for their processors that was a lot better than the x86 architecture used in PC's.. apple stopped using those chips a few years after you bought that iMac so now Mac's are no more powerful than any comparable PC.. they use the same processors, motherboards, and video cards now.. you also realizing your comparing a high end computer to a budget made computer that was probably purchased for less than $500

    I'll tell ya, that HP was NOT cheap haha.

    Yeah I remember seeing a demo apple did at WWDC comparing the PowerPC processing structure to intel. Shorter chain of commands which allows it to move faster.

    This 13 year old (BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED) computer runs protools like a champ!
