Haha I agree about the entire society thing. But like jd said its a huge advantage that beats all other advantages. Even if a woman is not into woman she will think about going home with a girl with bewbs prior to going home with a dude without.

Unless you're trying to buy a truck, truck parts or do anything else truck related.... Then you're SOL because very few people can respect a woman in this industry. I have a very long "No Fly" list of businesses I won't offer my patronage to due to their outward chauvinism...

That's usually how the change happens... And they rarely go back ;)

Eh, I've dated a few dudes with boobs.... Far less entertaining!

I wouldn't say that there are quite a few women that are very well respected in the industry.

    Serena at SDHQ
    Nicole owner of Total Chaos
Jessie Combs Falken Tire KoH driver
I forget her name but one of the people at PCI Radios

The list isn't huge but at most larger places there is normally at least one lady that is respected by others in the industry.

Yeah, and they earned it, and I am sure have stories of horrible customer service or worse before they were well known. I shouldn't have to be rich, famous or even well known to be respected by those I am doing business with. Big Two gave me an outrageous quote the other day, I had one of you guys call in minutes later, and you were offered the part for half the price, to be picked up that evening, but I had to wait for shipping and leave my truck there and had a whopping service fee tacked on. I called one of the big shops (I won't say who because many of you are fond of them) to ask a question, and was told I would have to drop my truck off to "take a peak at what we're working with" before I could get any info, yet when one of you guys were there grabbing something and asked the same question, you were given the info needed right away. Not to mention the questions I ask get blown out of proportion and made to seem far more ignorant than they are, because they are coming from a female, yet I can guarantee there are guys here that are far less knowledgeable than me. And I won't even delve into the sexual aspect of being in this community, I can't begin to explain the creeps I have encountered along the way, on TW and in the auto industry as a whole. I am not saying this to be offensive or stir the pot, I am honestly saying, we as women have to overcome far more than any man will ever be able to relate to just to be respected or seen as an equal. Thank goodness I have a tough skin and I lucked out with this bunch, you're all pretty darn awesome in my opinion. <3

I wouldn't trust my truck with Big Two. I have had stuff stolen out of my truck on more than one occasion and I was made to be in the wrong from the service manager. They had to dig through my center console to get what they stole. I will never go back there again.

I was just curious about getting the stock roof rack/cross bars (as I have a nakey roof now) and was royally dicked around, despite explaining to them that I was more than capable of installing it myself.

Yeah, I know, but at the time I was thinking of making something to mount to the stock cross bars, so I had to do some research. It's just shitty that there are always a few extra hoops to jump through and I have to rely on one of you guys to save me. I'm just cranky.... Don't take heed to anything I am blathering on about

But that is what I was talking about earlier today, I had to rely on these guys for help on almost everything I have done with my truck too. The fact that you even get as far as you do and you actually understand the help we give puts you ahead of most males on this site. You watched the LT seminar I gave Juan and understood like it was no big deal, don't get down on yourself

    It isn't stealing if I share ;)

Are you being facetious? I bet they pick on you because every woman wants a man that can cook! Don't get me wrong, I am a 10 in the kitchen, but if more men could make me a meal without burning something or having to char it on the grill, I might like them a little more...

And Ashley has been around, maybe she just doesn't talk to you :spy:

I have no idea about long travel other then I want it. I have no idea what I would fully need to make it happen tho.
No its not stealing if you share. And yeah they just pick on me cause I cant do allot of stuff from scratch like those hoes do. I have a full time job I dont have time to sit around and cook. But I am a damn good cook. And we text more than she posts.

Ahhh you forget who I am though.... A hard headed researcher/scientist. if I can't do it, I will research until I am confident, and if I can't, I shall try anyway :) And as far as Juan's LT, I was in a class with Juan, the Bell Curve weighed heavily in my favor hahaha

Have a good trip buddy, and tell your mom I said hi ;)

"Those hoes" on the Betty Crocker cooking forum, wow, that just made my night!

Single dads have to know how to cook, I have to play mom and dad. And if you have ever cooked for a child, any hint of being burned and it gets sent back to the kitchen lol

Lol yeah its those damn fucking 50-80 year old "hoes" that do cooking comps and get recipes published. They really grind my gears. But anyway im tired of talking about them. But yes brian I use to frequent them. I wanted to know how to cook delicious meals. Like dani said earlier a good cook is the way to get the girl. And it worked well for me. Shit I have cooked for you before right!? When you came up and stayed at our place?
