Add one huge or two small turbos to anything and it will take off like a rocket once you get through the lag. Toyota did nothing new with the Supra TT that wasnt already done by the GNX aka Buick Grand National years before. 6cyl + rwd+ turbo= fast as fuck on low bucks.
That is another car that is very hard to find in good shape and original form.

You can throw tons of monies at anything nowadays and make it fast. Just youtube street sleepers and see some of the shit people mod. Nothing gets me happier then seeing a low budget car that can run under 10s and is daily driven.

As for wanting to buy a mustang, I say if you really want one then get one. If you end up settling for something else, you're going to think about a mustang everytime you get in the other car. IMO that price is to high, and if you plan to drag in any way I'd avoid the T-tops. They are just as "loose feeling" as a convertible. I've actually heard stories of people cracking the tops at the strip, or them getting wedged in because the chasis tweaks and flexes so much.

well thats good for you then your age is definitely a factor in if its high or not its weird what makes rates high like the insurance on my 13 prerunner was more expensive then my 14 4x4

See, the whole felony speeding ticket is what killed ya. I don't think they take in to account the power of the car do they?

Never once got a speeding ticket that wasn't Criminal or Felony. (9 tickets, 2 were over 100mph, 1 was a Felony)
    DUI
13 second cars or faster my entire life.
Been arrested for street racing 2 times
    Totaled 2 cars

    PLUS
My wife's driving history. Which she's been to jail for speeding as well, plus a slew of tickets.

I just quit with the dumb shit when I hit 24 and slowed down, sort of. Now my house, cars, bikes, dogs are all on one policy. They hook me the fuck up. There are lots of ways to get discounts on insurance and if you make friends with them it helps.

When I first got my -92 Dodge Stealth TT, I didn't even think about insurance. Had the payment at 320 for the loan which was easy. Got home, went to get insurance (with USAA still too) and the insurance was $600 per month. I panicked at first but was able to get State Farm at like 280, then 6 months later went back to USAA at about 180.

Yea... sports cars + young'n = shitty insurance.

Oh hell yes they account power but not aftermarket mods.

    Example,

Tiffanys Honda 600 F4i is a sport bike and gets great rates on insurance. We were going to get her a 600RR but the insurance was way more. Why? Because RR is "race ready" and that means it goes fast. Technically her bike is about 10mph slower than the RR model.

However if we mod her bike up to 10000000000HP the insurance won't change unless we tell them we did it.

Isn't that kinda stupid? lol I told my insurance that the Z has a v8 in it too just to disclose, they're like yea no worries doesn't change anything. I'm like... kay, so I could have a 1100hp 280Z if I wanted and pay the same insurance... lol.

it is stupid. Progressive doesn't care unless you want to get coverage for the mods you put into it. Then they have someone come out and take pic's, look up everything and go from there. If you are covering a motor that pushes out some serious HP, the price goes way up because they know you aren't going to pussy foot it around town with 700hp.

When I talked to USAA, they said everything is covered at the rate as long as you have pictures, or it was on the car and they can see it, ect. I think that's part of the reason they gave me so much on my 08 taco actually.

That's pretty awesome they just trust the customer. Also, have had about 30k of stereo equipment stolen/replaced though my insurance since I've been with them. I'm pretty sure now at this point they just want to create a webpage of all the shit that I wasted money on so they can show it to me on my death bed and place the final nail in the coffin.

I've been lucky. The few speeding tickets I've had were for the minimum, even though I was caught going 20+ over or street racing. My WS-6 got me into trouble too often. I had that car up to 160mph once while racing an AMG SL55. Since I've had the truck, only one ticket for a seatbelt.
