And speaking of battery stuff, fuck optima batteries! Gfs optima just took a shit. Between both of us that's 3 optima batteries within the last 2 years.

I had one in an Artec mount in my Taco. When the buggy redtop dies, will get a Platinum/Artec combo again.

 

Optima has been crap for years. They use to be awesome, but something changed they have gone bad.

 

So, my work has been providing lunch once a week and sometimes multiple times a week for years. We just went through a merger and the new VP of our division has said that lunches with go to once a month. It's been nice while it lasted. Apparently when the new VP sees that our place is barely breaking even, and he needs to change things a bit.

 

Yep. Running a diehard platinum in my truck now.

They're made in Mexico now. Enough said....

My first stock lasted just over a year. I have had 5 or 6 in my 06 since getting it new. The longest a stock battery has lasted is just over two years. Paid half price for a battery once and the others have been free under Toyota's battery warranty. The shortest a battery has lasted is not even a year. I figure I will continue with Toyota batteries as long as they are free.

 

So, unless update on my spiral cable. Toyota is only willing to pay half because my truck is 8 years old. At least it's better than nothing.

 

I haven't had that one done yet, or any of the recalls.
I'm at 59500 too.

 

nice! I had mine replaced when it went out maybe a year ago. was still under my extended warranty tho.. so I got lucky.

 

For those of you with those messed up "burnt looking" drl/turn signal lenses who haven't heard of or seen this. As long as it applies to your VIN, you're covered till November 30th 2015.

tore apart Lyd's TC and did some painting. painted the front and rear Scion embles and the front back plate. it was black behind the emblem,looks much better in white imo!



painted some interior pieces as well.


painted my steering wheel emblem again and derped the beadlock rings again as well. finishing up tomorrow and washin and detailin the truck finally.

 

Came out nice.

I'll be cleaning the engine bay, washing, and waxing my truck tomorrow too.
