Howdy-ho! Can't sleep. Dad and stepmom were so inconsiderate with the amount of noise they made while getting my dad into the car to go to the hospital at 1AM

Ok, so he can cut and weld. Good for him. Does that mean he instantly knows the compatibility for every leaf pack in every vehicle made? Not in the slightest.

A tape measure and common sense are your best friends. Don't just take what he says as truth

He is focusing on suspension geometry.. He isn't saying I'm gonna toast my rear end on my way to school the day after it's done. He just said that it's a possibility.

Sounds to me like he doesn't know what he's talking about. Every truck I've ever owned and the past 3 tacomas were all lifted 3 inches.. I lifted my 05 dcsb the day after I bought it, drove the piss out of and sold it with 150k miles.. Never had a single rear end or trans. Issue, ever... so long as you don't go with a massive lift, you'll be just fine..

Hamer, do your own research. He clearly doesn't know enough for you to base decisions off of his recommendations.

Plenty of guys have 3-4" of rear lift with no issues or blown diffs. I don't even understand how you would blow the diff when you have these magical things called universal joints

I may not have leafs but I'm up 4.5" in the rear before bodylift, and have been lifted since spring of 2012

Hammer i suggest you find someone else to get info from. Ya he may be going to school for "suspension" but also probably hasn't had that happen
