I made the mistake of buying too much stuff on credit cards the past 4 years or so, crawling out of it slowly. My goal is debt free by january. thankfully its not a whole lot, but i learned my lesson and now plan not to use credit cards in the future. ill have them, but wont use them.

 

Thats a good plan! Atleast you noticed what you did and now fixing it and learned the lesson

 

In fact this morning I paid 1 of them off and threw it in my safe lol

 

I mean once I'm debt free I can start better saving for Tacoma parts right???!!!

 

Exactly. Or you could buy with your cc then pay it off like you are putting monies in a savings account.

I had CC debt. paid it off, putting some back on.. its the way it goes. builds my credit. I have almost perfect credit as well. with putting a huge payment down on my truck, then refinancing it. being a cosigner for Lyds TC.. and we just refinanced that. the CC's.. we are in a good spot.. debt?.. yes.. but its reasonable. we have our house. our cars. now its just playing catch up over the next couple years.. which my truck will be paid off then too. then really the only debt is the house.

Good job. Im about to add the house debt here soon aswell. Then its just trucks and house and we both make decent money so its all going to be good and dandy

 

Gotcha

I made the mistake with one credit card, bought a house when I should not have during the housing bubble. Now it's student loans.

Paid off the credit card. Foreclosed on the house and is finally off my credit after 7 years. All that's left is my stupid student loans and that will be for years to come.

Me either. Assuming I keep my GPA above 3.0, I'll walk out with a Bachelor's degree debt free.

It's considered an investment. You are in a parenting class, kids cost a lot of money.

Dont get me started on this sub thread. lol. I was a banker for 6 years, Mortgage Officer for 2, now back working with investments. F credit cards. They are the devil...
