I have seen some clean Si's in my day though. They seem like fun little cars to have.

 

I had a 11 second Honda civic hatch that pretty much ate up anything on the road.

 

Was the turbo worth more than the whole car?

 

No. Turbo's aren't very expensive. The built motor was close to the cost of the car after everything was done. I was also pushing over 300hp in a 4 banger. Having it sleeved with new cams and gears is where all the money went.

 

I know I was just giving you a hard time.

It is impressive what those little motors are capable of.

I never get offended if someone doesn't like what I drive and loads of people laughed at my car. They quit laughing when a 4banger just destroyed their car on the track. Really it did earn me a lot of respect with the drag racing community once I broke into 11's.

Lisa Kubo had an 7 second 4 banger. She helped me with getting mine built the way I wanted it by offering me lots of free advice.

My buddy is looking to sell his 99 turbo civic EX. Makes about 320 at low boost and it's built well but will not pass emissions.

 

PM me a price or if he has a CL ad I may be interested in it just to part it out for parts I want on my car.

I had the same issues with my Civic, passing emissions was damn near impossible.

 

If you register in the mountains up here you dont have to have emissions done. I dont know about Paulson but you can look into registering it at your cabin

 

I'm watching his house tonight while he is on Business travel. Its not on CL yet cause he hasn't had the times. I know its a import powerhouse built car. He did everything right with a low compression Acura motor, Acura LSD, heat coated the turbo and all kinds of goodies. I think he was trying to get around 7 for it, but don't quote me on that. He has a great suspension and expensive light ass wheels. Its ready to be gutted, caged and turned into a trailer queen. I'll snap some pics for you tonight Colby, PM me your #.
