Thanks man! Going on some TRD offroad wheels that I picked up. Wanted more sidewall. Plus I'll have about 5 pounds less rotational weight per wheel so hopefully a little better MPG but probably won't change that much.

    Cant even tack well.

Was going to weld today... realized I did not magically learn how from hours of YouTube. Lol. Fml. Need lessons.

Btw. I have done this before successfully. I think maybe I needed to clean the pieces better from the oil on them.

Ugh that's my current dilemma. I hate how low pro the at2 looks. I love the way the stt looks but its basically a mud tire.

Its as high as it goes. Lincoln pro140. Something else is causing the lack of penetration. Thats why I was thinking the oil coating.

Yeah exactly. The AT2 is not nearly as aggressive looking in my opinion but it still has excellent reviews offroad and is much new practical than the St maxx. Eventually when I'm not driving back and forth across the country 4x a year I will move to a mud terrain or something but not right now... I just have to delay gratification :/

    Clean with rubbing alcohol.

As juanathan said, turn the heat up, stay on it longer, and perhaps increase the wire speed.

Are you using gas or flux core wire? Is the gas you're using the correct mixture?

Used the gas before. Solid wire. Its been a long time since ive done this. Few years. Argon co2. Good flow and pressure. Heat at D. Speed at almost 8. Box says 7 but a few other beads last night were ok on some test stock at 8. I think i need to sand the locations down and try again. Not this weekend though.
