Is statics an actual class? I must be old cause I thought statics is something you get when you put your socks in the dryer.

 

Statics is talking about loads on material. You are thinking of static electricity.

 

Lmao... Yes. Statics is an actual class. It's for engineering. It is very different than statistics. Statics is basically calculating load(shear and stress), moments of inertia and centroids, yadda yadda yadda about non moving(static) structures. It's a half semester class usually paired with dynamics, which is similar but with moving structures. No hard feelings old man.

You're talking static electricity which is basically a build up of electrons.

 

OK and facials are talking about loads on faces.. I get it now.
