So I might have stumbled on a once in a lifetime "DEAL" that I am going to look at tomorrow. I found a 67 firebird convertible 400 ram air II car in good condition. Numbers matching, 56000 original miles. Rebuilt engine, tranny, rear end. New convertible top, convertible machanism, new carpet, door panels, etc.

I am the first to call and only one local and I am looking at it tomorrow. She wants 13K for it, I am going to offer 9K cash and see what she says. The best part is she has owned it for the last 4 years and only put 2k miles on it. She get it in the divorce settelment and dosent really want it or drive it. I am hoping she just wants to offload it.

I got this info through a "contact" at work. This is my dream car... I have wanted one for 20 years... These are the pics she sent me. She has the stock wheels as well.

I know what you mean. I was watching some car chase show the other day and there was a jeep wrangle that just kept smashing through fence after fence.. wood, metal, etc. Try hat In a tacoma and after one the bumper will fall off. Lol. I miss having a steel front bumper thats part of the frame on my old wrangler. Bushes, poles, friends cars. Lol.

Ok, so for my rental vehical the next month I have a nissan frontier 4x4 automatic. I will be using it up in the hills/desert of Yuma Proving grounds and like normal with any rental vehical I have I will be abusing the living shit out of it. We will see if it holds a candle to the Tacoma. Now I will have an objective opinion on them when i talk shit as I will have severly tested it. There will be before and after pictures as I have never not turned in a vehical almost utterly destroyed and caked/covered in damage and dirt. Such is the life of my rental vehicals.

I just drove a Ridgeline for the very first time yesterday. I want my time back.

A guy I work with LOVES his Ridgeline. And is giving me shit for being a die hard honda fan who owns a Toyota Truck. I told him, "If Honda built a truck that was worth a shit I'd buy it, but if you want a good truck your choice is Toyota,." Now we all know that honda's 'trucks'(if you can call it a truck) are worthless crap. I've test drove every honda that has come out since 2000, but not the truck. So finally I gave in and took it out for a ride.

So we agreed, he drives mine, I drive his.

    Opinion:

Even as a big die hard honda fan (have the H logo tattooed on me) I would NEVER drive this thing. Even if someone gave me a free one I'd sell it the day I got it and buy something else. I'd rather own a ford ranger or older nissan hard-body before this pile of crap.

One it doesn't feel like a truck, it feels like a jar of marshmallows with seats and a steering wheel. Step on the gas and watch the kid on his go-ped beat you off the line. Handles like shit and looks worse than shit.

Guy drives my truck, says he likes it a lot.. Loved the power and the ride.

Best part, I see in the parking lot today his Ridgeline has a for sale sign on it. After busting his balls for awhile on it, he admitted that the Tacoma was a superior truck in every way and now he wants one.

Moral of the story, nothing, your Tacoma already rocks and you know it! ;)
