Oh, the inner seals. Check output shafts for oil leaks. My rear diff output shaft inner seal was ten bucks. Easier to rebuild it right the first time, then having to pull it

Hey jumper, I'm thinkn rear frame plates, id prefer to box the frame, but outter ones will work just as well?

What about strengthening the rear axle? Ill be pulling it to get diff rebuilt, figure its the right time, right?

Am I in a time warp? It sure seems like your talking about erics truck but there is no mention of erics truck. Somehow I knew thats what you meant though ;)

Im not going to box my whole frame, I think I am just going to do the outer plate and box the inside just where the bumstop is. But I am also going to do a whole bed cage. From what I have seen you cant go wrong boxing the entire frame if you dont mind dropping the tank, pulling the bed, etc etc. Its the same with most fab work, the prep is what takes most of the time

For the axle I doubt you will need to truss it. Most of the guys using leafs do not truss it, it really becomes a problem with links though

It was retarded.. Lol. Some of the sealant, like RTV, got in the threads and locked It up. Had to grind the head off and then it just unscrewed. Lol

Just wait till emissions to see if you pass.. Best way to find out if your cat is shot and its not throwing a code.
