What length are they?

 

I have yet to have rattle snake. I keep hunting for them but only find little fuckers that arent worth the time

 

They're originally from an FJ Cruiser. So they're perfect for my lifted 4Runner

 

Ah gotcha. Figured you would be fine with weight back there. Oh well. I have been wrong before

 

If you go eat at rawhide you can get it.

 

Nope.. want to do It all myself. Kill it. Skin it. Cook it. Eat it

 

If I don't have 16" of travel, I'm not happy.

For real though. If you get a big enough rattle snake, skin it and gut it. Flip it on its back and spread some diced peppers, onions, mushrooms, and some lemon juice. Then braid bacon around it the whole length of the snake and run toothpicks or wooden skewers through it to hold the bacon. Flip the snake belly down and powder the bacon on the snake back with what ever spice rub you like. You can bake it, smoke it, or grill it belly down on some Tin foil (temp and time depends on size and weight of snake).

Some Mexican cowboy guy cooked this up for my buddies and I in Senoita, AZ. It was great.

 

It was really good surprisingly, kind of tough with a ton of little bones. But they stayed I and we ripped it off the back bone all the way down.

 

Smoking it makes it x10 easier to rip

Yeah heard It was tough but pretty good.

 

A lot of work for not a lot of meat but it's a good appetizer for a group of guys camping or something to freak the wife out with after she eats it

Your chance of getting a big snake is coming up too. They should be prepping to go under ground soon and will be out hunting more during the day.

On my ICON front coil-overs: If I cannot get them to behave at end of travel may add air bump stops or just replace them with Kings. I was close to buying Kings a week ago.....
