    I use a bow rake to trap the head and then a flat head shovel to chop it off. If your shovel is dull, may take a couple wacks. I've sharpened my shovel over the years just for snakes, works awesome. You can also run a noose through like 6 feet of pvc pipe and lasso the snake head and then chop it with the shovel.
