    I had a 2008. Had lots of power. Family just out grew it or I'd probably still have it. My 2008 never gave me trouble.

    I am looking for a new truck to tow my toys. i hear the 7.3 f350s are good? i am down for any brand of truck.. i have no clue where to begin looking.
    it needs to be able to tow a large toy hauler.

    what're you trying to spend? The 7.3's are pretty much bullet proof besides going through injectors. Also the Duramax 6.6 is a great engine as well. I'd stay away from the fords from 2002-2008. The 6.0 and 6.4 aren't the best engines. Best bang for your buck will probably be finding an 96-01 ford f250-f350 with lower mileage. The 4x4's have straight axles in the front so you dont have to mess with IFS.

    What size and weight on the toy hauler?
    Any use outside of towing? Daily?
    Budget?

    I've got more experience/knowledge with the 3rd Gen (03-07) Dodge Ram with the Cummins. Still miss the 06 dually I had. These are the most sought after and highest value lately. The 2nd Gen (~95-02) is also good, but less quality in the interior and auto trans.

    The 7.3 Powerstroke in the Fords is also good. I've actually got a clean 95 F250 that will be available soon.

    Unless your towing heavy all the time, the newer than 07 diesels are really hurt in maintenance and mileage due to the extra emissions regulations.
    All 3 have their plusses and minuses/issues, but somewhat limited by how your gonna drive it. Just tow and load with close to stock power, get whatever you like the most and willing to work on. If your gonna bro it out and blow smoke from every stop, double your budget for repairs and go away.
