Anyone have/had a RAV4? The gf is convinced she needs a small SUV or sorts so that she can see over smaller cars in front of her to help her drive....... She doesn't want to shell out 4runner money so she's looking at the RAV4. I know nothing about them. Are they decent or should she look at something else?

I don't have any RAV4 experience. But hopefully it's not like this Jeep Patriot rental I've got. It's not any higher than a car.

I have to say, I have no idea who the Patriot is marketed towards. No more ground clearance than a car, no better forward visibility, not comfortable, cheap, luxurious, or gadgety. Not much more room than a hatchback. Crappy mileage (23-24 driving like a rental)

My little brother has a Honda crv that my dad bought in 01 that's running strong with just under 200k on it. It survived me driving the piss out of it and 3 or 4 trips across four peaks.

Definately a car to look into in that category

I have a dumb question, I bought a 2007 Tacoma and he gave me two keys and no keyless entry fob. Does my truck come with it installed that I can just buy a OEM keyless entry fob and program it? Tacoma 07 prerunner sr5

earlier this year my old lady and i were looking for a new car for her. RAV4's were in the running and that was kinda the route we were going until we ran accross a kia sportage for a really good deal. read a lot of good reviews on them and she liked it a lot on the test drive so we pulled the trigger. it's been a great car so far. runs great, really good MPG's and no problems to speak of. just giving you a little insight on another option in the same category

All balances out in the end... Toyota a little more upfront than a Kia, but if you don't keep it forever, the Kia will lose it's value on the resale end. As always... Pay me now, or pay me later.

Nice bro. Aliamanu Crater is army housing, the sentry is almost always unmanned and it's closer to everything. Check out Zippy's for local food and Anna Miller's (worked there for years) for beeches and hoes at Pearlridge. Stay away from AlaMoana and Waikiki cuz there are so many more beaches further East like Sandy's and Irma's, If you're gonna venture the westside beaches check out Makaha for the real island experience. Pearl and Hickam have their own beaches inside them so you wont even have to go off base. Them Air Force wives in HI though (yummy). Finally, try Poke Salad I'm sure you'll love it.
