Is that a BRLM? Never thought of that, its sick!

I got a DUI about a year ago......had 2 beers with dinner and cop followed me home. Charge was to the slightest degree as I was under. 08 but its 0 tolerance. Be careful out there.......had to do 2 days drug/alcohol classes, 24hrs in the tent, breathalyzer for 1 year in the truck (still in) and about 5k! No bueno folks!

You talkin about the tail lights? They are aftermarket.

Same here. All the classes, 24 hours at the tents, fines, etc. I got lucky tho. My bac was under .08 and got It dropped to reckless driving. No license suspension, no interlock, etc. Definitely not fun, and as my friends here know.. I honestly learned from it and don't drink more than one with dinner.

It is straight stupid that you can't have more then one. I understand its bad and dangerous but come on. Most other states have reasonable limits.

    Yes.
You used to be allowed quite a few here in Wisconsin before any real punishment. They have increased the penalties now. But still not close to Arizona's zero tolerance. By the way, most parts of Wisconsin stop selling liquor at 9PM... They are literally telling you to go to the bar.

    Yes.
Here's some stuff that went into effect a couple years ago... It took WI a long time to change:

    • A fourth offense Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) will be a felony if it occurs within five years of an earlier offense.
    • A greater emphasis will be placed on treatment for drunk drivers, helping reduce repeat offenses.
    • Increases first offense OWI to a misdemeanor if a child under 16 is in the vehicle.

Honestly, AZ's main issue is having .08 and zero tolerance. Pick one or go home state, seriously.

Uh, isn't that illegal? You can't be sentanced twice for the same crime.

Ya, this state's got issues! I had to take the plea because I told the cop I had one beer, when I actually had two. They were trying to also get me for obstruction of justice/defamation of character, or some BS and land me 6 months jail time....for an F'in .06! You cant even drink at your own house because "you have access to your vehicle" and can still get a DUI! My buddy was drinking on his front porch with keys inside the house on the counter and car in garage...got an extreme because he was beyond drunk and neighbors called the cops because of the music.....it was like 7pm!

The justice system sucks here in Arizona well let me re frase that. Nation Wide ..

I got a public indangerment ticket back in 02 for doing burnouts in safeway parking lot at 2 am paid $1400+ in fines lost my license for 6 months. Well in 04 I got a notice in the mail to appear in court when I went I was being charged with wasting petroleum finite for the same ticket. I ended up paying another $600+ in fines and I didn't even live in az at the time I got sent back to court.

All they want is to Fuck us and take our money.

I got 2 tickets in California in 1998. 1 for 100+ in a 70 and another for 144 in a 65. Was let go both times (thankfully) by tellng the cops I was military and leaving to get stationed overseas in Japan. I left for Japan a week later so never went to court which I was supposed to do both times.

Fast forward 9 years. I was coming back to the US and had to call California because my license was still suspended. I found out there were 2 warrents out for my arrest, over $17k in fines, etc. I was shocked and called a lawyer. $150 and 2 hours later I had my license back, no court, no jail, no fines. In fact it was completely gone off my record like it never happened.

Turns out the statute of limitation in cali for non DUI accidents and tickets is 5 years so they couldnt prosicute or anything.

On a side note, both my motorcycle and truck are still registered in Washington (and wont be changed to AZ) so for anything not given directly they will have to serve me which will be hard because I am never home and hardley ever in AZ either.
