Anyone ever had shoulder surgery? Having a slap year fixed tomorrow, expect a painful recovery, but hope it's short

No surgery, just a destroyed Humeral Head last year. 6 months of PT. Still have improvement to be made, won't ever be the same.

Listen and do what you can to relax and let the therapist stretch the ROM.

I had my clavicle re attached. Well sort of. They ground my right clavicle down 3/4 of an inch then rookbpartbof my trap muscle to hold it down. Still not attached but it keeps it from flailing around. Re hab was a bitch. I had it done 20 years ago. I would hate to go through that shit now.

yeah, i had a slap tear and other bad shit happen to my shoulder a while back while in the military and never had surgery. just re-hab'd it myself a shit ton and dealt with it. it'll give me some pain and issues here and there occasionally but i'm still able to lift 315 lbs over my head when i oly lift so i was lucky i hurt it in my younger years and it healed decently on it's own. good luck in surgery dude

I've had a few shoulder surgeries. Latest was a complete labrum reattachment. 13 anchors and a whole bunch of cleanup. Pain after the surgery wasn't terrible but just expect that you won't be doing shit for quite a while. Shoulder rehab is looooong!

Yeah, def not looking forward to it, but know that I have to get it done. It's been like a year since I messed it up. Tried PT & taking time off, but didn't work. Hoping that the next few months go by quickly.

There won't be that many people there Friday. I know we'll miss the Thunderbirds as they don't go on until 530 but that's too late for us. More interested in the statics and WWII stuffs. The new birds don't allow people to get too close.

I hope to collect a few squadron patches.

Just make sure you move around as little as humanly possible for the first few days after surgery. Get yourself a nice comfortable place to lay low and make sure everything you need is at arms reach. The more you get up and down, the more pain you'll be in. Get a nice pillow to wedge under your arm and ensure you don't roll onto it while you're sleeping. If I remember correctly, you'll probably be in your sling for roughly 5 weeks and the once the pt actually starts, it will be really slow, basically regaining your range of motion.

But yeah, best to just bite the bullet and get it done. I waited way too long and caused some irreversible damage, bone spurs and severely degraded cartilage which still caused me quite a it of pain.. Best of luck to ya! Good news is that they've gotten so good at these surgeries that it'll go by fast and you'll probably only have about 3 1/4 incisions so there won't be much if any scarring.

Been to Luke Days twice. Fun show. Been to the Yuma Air show too many times to count. Yuma always does the Harrier presentation as its stationed there. They also do the A10 Warthog as well.

I have seen the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds at different events multiple times.

I've seen the F117 in a hanger bay back in 2005 at Luke Days. I took multiple pics and stitched them together to make a nice photo.

I prefer Yuma over Luke as Yuma has less people that go. Parking is on base and easier to get out along with buses to and from the cars. They also have a B52 static display.

Hey guys been kind of ignoring it but now getting a little worried... for I think the past couple of weeks when I am accelerating onto the freeway to 70 mph my RPMs go up to 3000 and once I am crushing at 70 it's stays on 3000 way to long then finally shifts and goes down to 2100 RPMs
