For all you desert lighting geeks. I am looking at the Ridig Industries/Vision X style dual row light bars. I am debating between a 20" with flood and spot or 2 10" with flood and spot. I can slightly angle the 10" lights into a slight ^ shape or mount the 20" flush. What do you guys think?

Also, amber vs white. Other than driving in the dust/rain, what are the advantages of amber over white if any?

Again, remember this is for more offroading/expedition and less pre-running/desert racing and can range from AZ desert to NW forests.

The single bar would look a lot cleaner then the two 10" light but you will be able to adjust them. The flood/spot combos throw the light out pretty well.

Amber is going to cut through the dust a lot better and not glare as bad in the rain like the white does. Its kinda like putting your high beams on in a snow storm with the white bars in the dust. if you buy ridgid they sell amber covers to place over their light bars. as far as none dusty times I like the white light better to see for long periods of time.

There is no point to a a led flood spot combo. LEDs don't shoot far enough to be a true spot. I do recommend getting the spot because it will still shoot further than the flood but it still has a good pattern. Or if it's offered in a combo get that.

Haha I meant the terminology, like I mean don't expect it to shoot super far. Clearly I'm just retarded

Yea, I know the LED's dont have the distance of the HID spots but I dont really have the need for the distance since It wont be for high speed stuff. I am looking for something to light up the night in front of me when offroading. I also like how the LED's dont have the light/dark spots and give a much more even lighting field than the HID's.
