I keep wondering when my fat ps3 is gonna quit.. but it won't!

 

Been thinking the same things for a couple years now, but it keeps on running.

 

Yeah it doesn't seem to matter how many hours it runs, I just keep it well ventilated

 

As long as you dust them out and don't smoke cigs around them the old 'fatty' PS3's are amazing on how long they last. I have a first gen 80gig(now has a 1tb drive in it) and it's pretty much running anytime I am home.

Take one apart and look how beautiful it is vs the Xbox which looks like my microwave's guts when you take it apart. The PS3 is such an amazing machine.

But when they do YLOD, and sooner or later they will, let me know and I'll fix!

the older ps3s are the SHEIT. i have the 80gb as well and its awesome. ive had a to fix a few for customers whore just distraught to of lost their backwards compatibility and saved games lol

But the xbox like mentioned is just a bleck, its just a mini computer, literally when you look inside. no jazz just plasticy thrown together.

 

Yup Xbox's are piles of crap. I only have one to play Gears of War. Don't use it for anything else.

Didn't you just say the 1st gen ps3s are good.. meaning the new ones arent. Everything has flaws.. so definitely not enough said. I havent had any issues.. plus.. game wise. Xbox has playstation beat. bring it ps3 bishes. Ill use my "brick" of an xbox and fight you all. Hahahahahaha

 

I have have a 360 at home with only 1 hour of game play on it.

 

My Xbox became my media center about 3 years ago and just yesterday it died. I hope I can fix it but she may be dead for good.

 

Yeah first Gen PS3's are great, even the slims are nice. I never said the new ones are not good, its almost the exact same design as the big PS3's when you crack them open. I've known 1 person who has had a failed PS3 and that's because his wife smokes about 3 packs a day in the house.. It took me 2 hours to remove the tar off the main board. It really was nasty.

Every person I know that got a first gen Xbox, has had it replaced or fixed. The new ones that came out are much better, take one apart and you can see the difference in design vs the first gen. It just pisses me off that Xbox rushed to have it released for Xmas and released a big steamy pile of shit.

Either way, would you buy a Tacoma if it had a 54% failure rate? I wouldn't buy anything at any price that had a 50% chance of dying out of the box. I'll stick to PS3's where they took the time to make sure it will work vs. Microshit which has a long history of rushing their products and releasing crap (windows ME/Vista anyone?),using their customers as beta testers, then fixing the crap they released and charging more for it.

Oh and enjoy the bluray on your 360, oh wait, you can't


As for games, Gears is the only game I like on 360 that I can't get on PS3. I don't play online but if I want to, that's also free of charge unlike xbox. But you are right, Xbox has a much larger selection of titles.

Its free online because there's nothing worth paying to play online.

I can tell you blu ray from a player or ps3 is better then yout laptop.

Bet I could. Video isn't a crisp and it tends to be slower. Also sound isn't as good also going through a GOOD receiver.
