I took everything off the switch. so going into the cab I have the wire plugged into 86.

 

if 85 is to ground, then 86 has to be hot to energize the coil that closes the contacts between 30 and 87. that then energizes the lights which need their own ground to close the circuit.

so a hot wire needs to run into the switch and the other of the switch goes to the relay

 

so have power go to the switch and then ground it? because I tried that and it didn't work

 

power to switch, then switch to 86. that should make it atleast click

 

David that worked. I called it a night an will play with it some more tomorrow. Might have to redo the connections out back.

You and your "I have too many HID's" problem by the way I have those motor mounts in my truck if you still want them

 

ugh such a problem lol The thing I'm bummed about is I heat shrinked, soldred and wire loomed everything and now it has to come out. Also there is no where in 1st gens to mount stuff in the engine bay.

So this year will be the 3rd time in my adult life that I will be in the country for 4th of July. I am pretty excited.
