Since it is 0235 in the morn and no one can stop me I'm gonna go ahead and tell the story of why I am up. Last weekend a rather stressful event had occurred. In dealing with that event my body decided to go on a non stop shitting spree for a very long 4 days. This past Tuesday I finally made it to the er to find out wtf was going on. Conclusion was that I had stress induced diharrea. Who knew? Not this guy. Moving on, the doctor gave me a bottle of pills designed to slow down my digestive track and give my body a chance to catch up. Well as of 0215 this morning by body has now caught up after 3 meals a day counting Tuesday. Luckily for you guys I grabbed my kindle fire right before my lower intestine decided to contract worse than a pregnant teenage prom queen. So there is my story. The good that came out of this is that I now know where I will order my birfields from to kick off my '85 axle rebuild. Thanks for watching.

 

I bought it that way.. The guy I got it from over torqued the screw and cracked it.

I got something in the works already to fix that.

 

Picked my sliders up today from Avid (Brandon's house actually, THANKS BRANDON!!!)

They are Primed, and after dinner I am going to put the first coat of paint on 'em!!!!

anyone know how often they do emissions? I can't seem to find how often on the DMV site. I have to get mine done tomorrow but was wondering since I did it 2 years ago.

So I am thinking of going the Jeep route. Doesn't mean I am getting rid of my Taco, I am basically leaving it how it is if not maybe taking it back a step. I want it to be a go anywhere expo rig which it pretty much is minus a few things like roof top tent, etc.

The jeep I am looking at buying is already set up. 37" tires, ARB lockers, winch, Armor all around, 4.88 gears, etc... Basically all I need to do is put the rear seat back in and its a family weekend offroader.

 

Yes it is... 2004 TJ, 4.0, automatic, 95,000 miles, chipped, intake, exhaust, and many many other things. Its through a friend of a co-worker who is an older jeep guy.

The guy is buying a new 2012 to 4 door to build up a new one so he is selling me this for 8K. The lockers, winch, wheels, and tires are worth 6K alone if I do it myself. Plus its got aftermarket Dana 44's front and rear, fully caged, atlas transfer case, and a ton of other goodies.

8K for all of that is a damn good price. The guy said I can climb in and inspect everything, take it to a shop to inspect, and take me out wheeling in it so I can drive it before money changes hands.

 

If the deal goes down I will be sure to post up plenty of pictures.
