exactly and you can go one step further with it when you tune it while it is running the bike on dyno witch is y i have come to love FI so much. but what i was talking about was finding a problem and fixing it not tunning to make it more powerful.

    Gotcha.

I guess we will have to leave this as 'to each their own'. I find trouble shooting bike without ECU's and FI a hell of a lot easier since there is a lot less to go wrong with them. No special software needed to see what's going on with the bike, etc, etc..

but those drag cars are only good at wide open throttle witch is why they run carbs. it makes it easier to dump huge amounts of fuel into them.

How else do you ride sport bikes? :D You don't get a bike that runs 10 second quarter miles and can do 170mph + to dick around at 45mph in the city.

and that is y most people like carbs better. i will completely and 100 percent agree that for an average person who does not have access to the proper tools and service manuals it is easer to work on carbs. but for a tech with access to those tools it is way easier to work on FI especially Yamaha because they have an on board diagnostic system and if anyone wants to learn how to use that i would gladly show them. :D:D

When did Yamaha start doing the on board diag? I'm curious to my buddy has a R1 and likes to boast how much better Yahama is than all other bike manufactures out there, yet has never used this as one of his selling points. It's a great idea.

Track days man. I've NEVER been to jail or got a ticket on my motor cycle. Got my bike pegged out at 177mph at PIR. Bet feeling ever knowing you wont' go to jail for doing those speeds.

My wife on the other hand was arrested for doing 106mph in a 65mph. :D

I've burred 8 friends from motorcycle accidents. 1 friend was ran over by a drunk driver and was killed.

    The rest:

Every one of them was 100% their fault for dying.

Example: Julio. 145mph, in a 45mph, drunk, tboned a car. Flew off the bike, hit a tree, exploded. They found his left arm on the roof of a house 2 houses down from the crash. This man was my roomate for years, a good guy, but I still call him a fucking moron for what he did, have no respect for him, didn't even go to his funeral because he made a stupid decision and all of us told him to quit drinking and riding at least a 100 times.

I've been riding for over 10 years, never once laid my bike down. It's called being responsible.
