Dealer just called. Battery was toast, they had to put in a Said the road force wont do anything.. the tires are too out of whack. The blower motor needs to be replaced.. My brakes front and rear need to be cleaned/resurfaced.. blah blah blah. Etc etc.. so.. do i have them road force the tires anyways? Should I just say no to everything and go to discount and or do it myself? They said 780 for everything. No way I can drop that much right now.

Have discount do the balance. According to their shop manager when I asked for Road Force he stated that their new machines do better than road force older machines. IDk.

Brakes- you and I can do those in my garage.
Blower motor- not sure how hard that is to replace. Bet we can do that too.

    Yeah man, lets start wrenching!

I would call BS on that one. If the pads are good you probably dont need to resurface unless you can feel it in the brake pedal. If you dont feel a shudder in the pedal when braking just remove the tires and spray the rotors and calipers out and you will be fine. Also if the rotors truly need resurfaced you should be changing pads too

I'm JUST out of warranty. This sucks. I completely forgot I didnt have the extended warranty.. that was my last Taco.. I got them mixed up. So.. this is all new for me. I've always had extended warranties.

I told them to do the service (obviously) and the battery. They couldn't even do the tests cuz it wouldnt start. Not sure how much a Toyota battery is.

Everything else I said no to. So.. I need:
-The leaf spacer kit (replaces the stock bushings in between the leafs with thicker rubber ones) gets rid of the squeak I have. Between 20-40 bucks
-new blower motor. Not sure on price
-new brakes front and rear. Not sure
-second opinion on road force, or, live with them, and try a different resolution (hub centric rings/carrier bearing)

Opinions? This is making me lean towards the car Idea again...

When I called back I got clarification.. the rotors are warped... he says. I dont feel anything in the pedal.. its more of the steering wheel. Which.. should be a balancing issue.. correct?

Usually if you feel it when not on the brakes it would be the tires, if you feel it during braking then its the rotors

See.. Its both. I think changing the brakes.. a road force through discount.. and the other things done on my own.. should resolve my issues.. a complete overhaul type deal.

    What do you guys think?

I think its a good idea. This is just normal wear and tear for a vehicle. Plus you can save a lot of money if you do the labor yourself.
