Ya? I prob could, never thought about it! My shoulder has been f'd up but I've been doing lots of sprints, chin ups, burpees with a weighted vest and longer runs thrown in too!

What's the course like?

Hmmm I'm thinking maybe I should try to shoot for 2014 and do it myself. Might give me the proper motivation to get in shape. No way I'd be ready by feb though.

 

In 4 months you prob could.....seems to be more about working together than competition. We could get a group of us together to workout and train for it?

Some light jogs, burpees, push ups, rope climbs.....doesn't seem too crazy!

 

I would be in if we wanted to do this....

Lol.....maybe, but we'd all do it as a unit and wouldn't leave one another behind. The getting shocked and "ice enema" looks crazy!

I'm def thinking about it eventhough my left shoulder is essentually useless for anything involving pushing?

That's how I spent the 2nd half of my Friday!

 

One of my friends back in Texas just did the Tough Mudder race there. He is an absolute fitness freak, and runs marathons all the time. But this year was his second attempt, bc the first time he didn't make it half way through the course. This year he finished, but he said he was passing special forces guys and professional runners by. Usually only a third of the field finish.

 

Really? I've never run further than 5 miles but the obstacle course doesn't seem difficult.......hmmmm!

10-12 mile course does seem long as hell!

I wonder if he just worked more on strength stuff?

 

Are there any firefighters here? I'm looking for some used 1.5-2" diam fire hose......rumor has it there's old hose laying around at times.

Can't seem to locate any but may resort to driving to a fire house and asking.
