It sat about level and or a little nose high with the 1.75 at the beginning. After the AAL it brought it back down and now it looks the way it is.

BTW I will defiantly come help you install the front end and rear end with you if you want help. A friend and me did it on my truck.

If they are the mini's like mine, EASY. Just let me know when, you bring the beer ;)

Cool man. I got a lot to read up on spacers vs. Billies vs. Coils. Eric got me worried about spacers and jacking up the shocks.

But Josh knows me really well and knows I won't wheel hard at all. I've never even come close to bottoming out my truck as it is. I kinda wan to avoid coils as I want to keep as close as possible to factory specs for warranty reasons.

I guess I should worry about getting my truck back from the dealer.. 2 days now, they STILL got it.

The difference betweek spacers and 5100's is that 5100's dont over extended you joints and stuff like that, its kinda hard to explain. You might get or not get what im trying to say.

I see what you are saying.

But setting the 5100's to 1.75 is putting a lot of pre load on those shocks. Which is worse?

I don't care about ride quality. It's a truck and I prefer a harsher ride anyways.

It really isnt to bad for me. Its a more good than bad stiffness? For off-roading its not the smoothest because of the preload. I think it would be less stiff for you because you have the off road coils. I bought my 5100's used with the sport coil which is stiffer.

    Colby,
What I would do is spend a little more and buy a 5100/OME/rough country front shock set, then pick which OME coil you want to use,(885, 886 or whatever)
Then assemble and install, and just keep your factory coil-over together, and you can swap the assemblies out easily when you felt like it or want to go to stock, you will have to do this work anyway if you were going to swap coils, which is a giant pain in the ass.

    5100 for 05+ taco fronts -170
    OME coils -160

So for around 350 bucks you could have a second set of coil overs, this would provide better wheel control, and a way better ride than either the spacers or all that preload would.

Also, the dealership or wherever would have no leg to stand on as far as saying a spacer/lift caused any warranty problems if you put the stock Coil over assembly back in before taking it to them.

Good points. Only thing is the dealer won't really see a spacer vs. an entire coil/shock assembly for my normal oil changes and what not. Plus a spacer is a lot cheaper.

So much to think about. Maybe I should finish all the other projects I have first.

what in your warranty are you concerned about voiding by adding the lift?

    I vote Boobs.

If you add Boobs to your truck, no-one gives a flying fuck what your suspension set up is. At least No-man in the right mindset.

Especially for what you use your truck for.

Not sure what I'm buying yet, but I'll buy new most likely for shocks and used for spacers.

I just want the front end level and that's why I was looking at a spacer. Not changing/swapping anything out, just fixing my dragster lean.

I have the full bumper to bumper, covers my suspension 100%. So if I change anything out, that's a reason for Toyota to say 'you did it' if something else happens that would be under warranty. That's why ALL of my electrical is ran off a bluesea fuse block and I am not tied into stock electrical in anyway at all. Toyota can never blame me for their isseus. However, when my wife got her Honda and we lowered it 1.5 inches, which is nothing, they voided her entire suspension warranty. The way my dealer has been treating me lately, I'm not surprised they haven't tired to void my electrical warranty yet just for fun.
Boobs it is. I'll get some Double D's implanted on the hood. Maybe I'll mold a flesh light into the grill for the full effect. :D
