    Is my oil filter supposed to be hand tight? This is my first time changing it since I got the truck, because my dad would only take it to the dealer. If it is supposed to be hand tight the incredible hulk must of tightened it because that shit is on there.

    They sell various tools for it,

    you can try the old style "stab it in the side with a screw driver and use that as a wrench",

    or you can spray it with brake cleaner wipe it down with a towel, and use some manliness.


    EDIT: or just wrap a towel around it and use Manliness.

    I will Say that the placement of the oil filter in the 2nd Gens is the best I have ever seen.

    Other than old school Tractors. They are right at chest level and easy to fight with.

    I am on the fence about giving it a bath.

    On the one hand, I want to continue a few painting projects...

    On the other, I want to go find some mud and try to get stuck while taking pictures/video.
