It has been a crazy busy last couple of days. So I have spent the last 2 days installing my christmas presents and other items getting ready for Sundays offroading adventure.
Changed my headlights out for the H4 conversions and replaced the headlight surrounds with black ones. I removed the Warn 9.5xp from the Tacoma and installed it on the Jeep. I had to unsolder, cut the cables to new lengths, and re solder them. Then removed the wire rope and installed my Viking safety orange synthetic line, aluminum fairlead, and fairlead light mount. I then had to make an adapter bracket to mount the Rigid 10" E series light to the bracket. Then i proceeded to install and wired up my Rigid Industries Duelly lights on the corner of the windshield and my Rigid 10" E series on the winch. I wired them into the stock harness so they work with the stock switch. Also replaced my dead battery (checked out at only 250 cranking amps) with a Die Hard Platinum dual post set up. Of course I snapped the rusted J-hook restraints trying to get them off so had to replace them
I adjusted my E-brake, changed engine oil, checked the tranny/diffs/x-fer case/radiator fluids, and just cleaned up some stuff.

Glad to be done, now just ready to wheel.

Its amazing the differance some lights make. Also, the H4 conversion is a HUGE difference, I actually drove around with my brights on a lot becuase the stock headlights sucked so much.

^good idea. If your dad gets 7mpg's too he can't say it's the way you drive it.

But if you hear your cats rattling then that's going to cause lots of problems with MPG's.

Well color matching the fenders went better than expected. I only did the base tonight, so I'll let it dry overnight and clear coat them tomorrow. No drips, but there are a few suface imperfections I didn't fix before spray painting them. My impromptu paint booth was alright, but I didn't have much light and black is a tough color to paint in the dark.....

So I just realized I am going wheeling on Sunday with the Jeep guys in the exact location the Cliff, Jake, myself and some others got turned back because it was to gnarley and then we had to winch over that guy in the blue Tacoma because he flipped it!!! Should be interesting.

Painting at night is a bish. This cold weather doesn't help much either.

How hard was the brake line install. I'm hoping on doing it later today

The brake lines weren't too tough. The line wrench helped, but I didn't want to fuss with frozen bolts while sitting under the bed. I sprayed them with PB and let them sit, then torched them a bit. I didn't have any problems breaking all of them loose.

The new fitting from all pro are a little differently shaped and they don't sit in the brakets quite as well as the stock ones. So I had to mess with the retainer clips and the brake fittings a bit.

Its also a PITA to get to the fittings up top because the braket they're in is attached to the frame. I took that off and it made things a little easier.

Also be prepared to drip brake fluid all over your hands and tools.

Fortunately I was in the garage with a tarped off little paint booth. So the work lights I had hanging helped heat it up and keep things dry.
