Haha. We had fun chasing them in the rain today. This hottie drilled one right through the pump house!



They aren't great eating but not the worst either. Field care and proper meat prep are crucial.

 

Ill be flying in wednesday night, so if your bumper isn't on by then Ill swing by to help you out

 

Javelina chorizo ain't bad

 

50/50 Javalina and pork with jalapeño and cheddar summer sausage

 

THIS!!!!

 

By far the best use I have found for Javalina and since you're dong a blend even a small animal will get you quite a bit of product.

You can smoke parts of it too and pull it like pork and its alright, still pretty gamey but with enough rub and seasoning and a heavy wood like mesquite it can be tamed down.

 

Soaking in buttermilk will take the gamey taste out I heard. I'm going out for some dove and quail this morning.

 

This reminds me of at Rock Therapy this year. We were sitting at our camp and hear a ruckus developing and some trucks heading our way. Next thing you know these guys headlights are facing in the air and then they drop into the wash with a extremely load crash...We run over...come to find out it was @tubbsisland ,,,,,someone else was driving his truck as he was falling out of the passenger seat. Sorry no pics. Thankfully everyone was ok

Do you mean it didn't happen like that or the damages weren't that bad? I didn't think you meant to do it, wasn't bagging on anyone. We thought someone was hurt. I didn't think you damaged anything on the truck.

 

Not my truck nor was I or anyone else "falling out" of anything. The whole thing sounded a lot more violent than it really was but it wasn't anything like the picture of the truck stuck in a giant fresh washout with its front end completely destroyed.

Others involved can share their 2 cents if they want.

Well there you have it another reason I rarely drink. However, i was that night and remembered it being a very sudden abrupt stop. Apologies for describing your exit as "falling out". It did seam worse than it was, maybe that's bc of all the exclamations being made or again my poor memory. No matter act like I didn't mention it. Really though not dogging anyone, glad noone got hurt bc I'm pretty sure that the potential was there.
