Sorry to hear about this man. I just had to do the same with one of my dogs last week. I'm still not right in the head from it. It's the worst part about owning a dog.

You're a good man. If only we could do such an honorable thing for our human best friends at that point. You are honoring him sending him off to a land of no pain. It is peaceful and serene, and so comforting to see them rest. Yes it is a tremendous decision and it hurts, but it is true to the saying "You'll do ANYTHING" for the ones you love!

Sorry to hear man. It's a tough decision I'm sure but usually it's the humane thing to do. I don't even want to think about having to go through that. Have a good ride and focus on all the good times.

Too rough bud. Sorry to hear. :/ your doing your best and you'll get that one last ride. Enjoy them burgers and ice cream... It really is losing a family member. Will keep an eye out for you guys for sure.

This is the toughest decision I've ever had to make because there hasn't been that "one clear sign" it's time for him to go, unlike my other dogs in the past where it was obviously the only option. We made the decision knowing it's only going to get worse for him from here on out, so even though he's not "suffering" in the truest sense, his quality of life sucks and his spirits are down. He's not even 8 years old but he can't be pet due to having sores over most of his body, there's large tumors all over him that are uncomfortable whether they're benign or not, his back legs lock up sometimes and he gets "stuck" mid-walk, and now he's got a mass on his front right paw that he won't walk on, so he hobbles around on three legs and can't go more than a few feet at a time. Some of the tumors are so big they restrict the motion of his legs, and ones on his throat make it hard for him to breathe when he lays certain directions.

It's just no fair to keep him around, struggling to get by, wondering why no one will rub him any more.

You're doing the right thing man. A good dose of doggie Tylenol so he can be as free as can be at the park and you're adventure tomorrow. A nice meal. He will love you for it all.
