Locomotive engineer. Fancy name for I drive a train. I don't like to say that I drive because there is no steering wheel. People would not understand if I said "I treverse the terrain using throttle modulation". What do you do at BNSF.

I always carry a 2-7/8" pocket folder on me (Legal in all 50 states!). My wife's family used to think I was odd, and a little bit dangerous. (They're a bunch of leftist California hippies.) Now I'm the guy they hand all the boxes to on Christmas morning.

I'm not much of a sports guy either, but my dad was from Central Falls, Rhode Island, so he was a die-hard Red Sox and Patriots fan all his life. He never lived long enough to see either of them win anything. My whole family was all smiles yesterday, just for him.

Dumbass. Now you grill all the time because she told you that you grill like a pro. Unfortunately women are smarter than we are. I can tile paint wrench and cook. How do I know? Because my wife told me that I am awesome at doing all those things. Wait WTF dam she did it again. :annoyed:

Is it possible for either one of you to get a calendar from work? My oldest boy (6) is super into trains and saw one yesterday but it was behind a counter at a shop.

UhOh! Engineers generally 'dislike' my profession because 'I take engineers jobs away'. :)
I'm a contractor that works with all RR's on their RCL equipped loco's.

I doubt it but can try.

Yeah. You got that wright. Your technology took an engineer with 20+ years experience off a job and replaced him with a remote control box that then was handed to a brakeman with 3 months of seniority to switch in the yard. 3 man crew to a 2 man crew. We used to switch 150+ cars in a 8 hour shift now the only way that they switch out 80 cars is with the yard master fudging the counts. As long as I can stay home and still get paid go ahead and automate everything but unfortunately that's not how things work.
