All this talk about beer makes me want to grab the whiskey. Just might do that.

Thought about bringing some special bourbon across the country with me. Not sure any would be left by the time I hit AZ. My Vegas friends are bourbon fans.

SC bourbon aged in a brandy barrel. Still not open. I may have suggested a TW mod pick up this bottle for me as I moved out of town. He complied with my request. I wonder if he stole the prized bottle #001 by doing so. :spy:

And a neat thing about that distillery, they use all of the leftover mash to feed pigs which is later turned into whiskey fed farm bacon and sausage.

Any idea why my 4runner keeps downshifting randomly when it doesn't need to? It's very intermittent and usually happens when Aaron drives. It normally lasts for like 20-30 seconds then stops. This time it won't stop. Had to pullover, ATF fluid looks good, my coolant reservoir is low so we're gonna fill that up now. Any thoughts?

Low coolant won't make it down shift. Does it just not hold over drive? Or does it downshift when cruising at say 15mph as well?

Idk about the 4runners but my 97 tacoma that was auto matic needed the trans kick down cable adjusted occasionally. Kick down cable. Detent cable.. Different people call em different things I guess. Not sure if the 3.4s are the same way as mine have all been 5 speeds.

Seems like OD isn't having a good time. Driving on the freeway at 70 and 4th gear doing over 3k rpms. Before that, say 45 or 50 where I presume OD isn't used it's fine. When I gas it and shifts to Of then a few seconds later downshifts again out of OD.

Over drive can be used at 40 or 50 once your cruising st a constant speed.

I would check your kick down cable it may be tight. Or caught on something. Anyone digging around your engine bay lately? Its the cheapest fix too...

You sure your not low on fluid? I've seen trannies that won't hold OD because of low fluid. Or because someone flushed a tranny that had high miles on it and lack of maintenance....

Currently going 60mph at 3k rpms. Any climb and it shoots up to 4k or more then back down. This sucks :frusty:

Test the solenoid. And make sure you have good power to it. You can do it through the connector and measure it With a meter.

We just got home and I wanna drive the truck into a ditch. Tomorrow we both have off so he's gonna tackle his leaking brakes and then start on mine. I think I read each solenoid should have about 5 ohms. So nothing or anything significantly higher than that should be bad right?
