Taco is roughly 4k iirc and trailer is roughly 1500... That puts me down to about 5500....

Good point....a lot of extra tools will be brought for such an event. I was thinking with the motor home you could leave a lot of stuff home. Rtt,bedrack, big coolers, propane bottles and tank.... Bring a folding grill instead of propane grill...little buddy heater could stay home, stuff like that.... But there does come extra things that aren't normal on an average camping trip. More than 1 c.v. big tools for trailer probably an extra spare tire etc.

I see guys talking about building extra spindles and driveshafts.... Seems a little over kill? I guess I could see a ds. But the only people I hear about braking spindles are the go fast guys....?

Well I shouldn't say this but I usually prep well and dont have many problems. I had the one problem after Elvis when my fuse holder for my OBA shit the bed. I try to finesse more than romp and it seems to be easier on parts.

As far as trails go, I dont desire going out and just beating the hell out of her, but some trail memories is acceptable and I can handle that no problem. I dont want to go all the way there and be afraid to have fun.. Ya know?

If it comes home broke on the trailer ill just leave it there until its time to work on it. I dont DD my truck which is a really really nice option.

I guess ill bring my normal stuff. An extra cv to the one I carry now and u joint an extra spare and some tie rod ends and some plugs and a set of coils. Seems like that should help for most situations.

Ill go to the waterfall with you to check it out anytime! Haha

I'd go with a Ford or Jeep. Much less issues than Tacomas.

Probably go back to Full Sized GM if the new Ford Ranger disappoints. Midsized truck better for running dogs and gear on ranch roads and unmaintained forest roads for hunting.
