If only I actually watched the video

Don't tempt me. It's a bad idea... but another tundra guy was feeling out a retrofit for 9" second gen tundra front diff and CVs. It would give me the belly clearance I'm lacking.

Headed back to Colorado for our annual Fathers day trip next month. I'm thinking about going 3 days early and need some suggestions on things to see or do or places to visit etc. I need to be in Delores, CO on a Friday afternoon. I'll be off work the previous Monday afternoon which gives me 3.5 ish days to explore. Any ideas?

I assume you mean Dolores, CO. I would check out Durango for sure. Head up the 550 to Silverton. And maybe swing thru Telluride. All are well worth the drive.

Yeah Dolores, CO. We did Durango, Silverton, Ouray and Telluride last year. It was all awesome but looking to go somewhere new before I hit Dolores this year.

    Bridal Veil Falls in Telluride.

When we went last summer, we rented the Air Force travel trailers between the two parks. If I was going up myself this year I would try to just go easy come easy go and snag a spot in the park. I was surprised at how many campgrounds actually had a little vacancy within Yellowstone park while we were there.

It definitely is always a gamble to go up without a reserve spot though.

I'm doing this program called the whole 30, yesterday was a little rough but I made it. The days going a lot better. I made some sweet potato hash with eggs for breakfast this morning, and then killed some strawberries for a snack

Where the road is between the two parks, maybe a mile before you drive into Yellowstone, there's a couple dirt roads that I had seen some people dry camping on. I will try to drop a pin on a map for you to show you where I'm talking about.

Last year, when we went to YS, we had our spots reserved 8 months in advance just for tents. There is one camp grounds in park that is first come first serve, and they had 100 cars in line hours before they opened it up.

Keep an eye on fires in the area, we got stuck doing a 200 mile detour due to a wild fire. Made for a long day on the bikes.
