Damn garage door broke this morning. hit the button to leave.. rolled up maybe a foot and stopped. the cables for the tension spring came off on both ends. I didnt realize how heavy and awkward these doors are without the spring assisting. after a few curse words, a ton of dripping sweat, and about 20 minutes.. I got the truck out. slowly got the door back down as low as I could before letting it go and slamming to the ground. gotta deal with that today. called the garage door guy so hopefully it will get fixed today.

 

So my morning has be productive.

Accidentally started a flame war on my Facebook by posting the following:

It's 8:30am and I'm at an ACE Hardware on my day off. There is a guy holding a sign begging for money saying he's homeless. The ACE hardware that is 30 feet from him has a sign that says HELP WANTED.

Update to story: when I left the store I went and ask the kids why he didn't apply here. He said it was because he didn't have an ID and he can't. He said that's why he was asking for money so that he can get an ID to get a job. I then offered to drive him to the secretary of state to get one and even pay for it. He then told me that he doesn't have a permanent address or birth certificate so they won't give him one. At this point I then asked "so why are you really asking for money if you already know that you can't get an ID to get a job which is what you just told me you were doing." His jaw dropped with a look of absolute terror and then just ran away.

After I posted the update the battle began. It's kind of hilarious.
