Starting my weekend early. I hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe Independence day.

 

With all aspects of modern engines computer controlled it is pretty standard for the computer to limit boost when the intake air temperature is elevated as well as pull timing both of which will reduce maximum power.

What I'm saying is it might be down on boost as a function of the tune software NOT a hardware issue. On the other hand, If the SC belt tensioner is causing a loose belt would the belt slip? I don't know if your SC belt is cogged and the "pulleys" are actually sprockets, or it is just a V-belt. At any rate looks like you are getting a new part.

 

Sounds like a good part to build your own out of a big piece of tool steel. I got no SC so I don't need one.

 

4.56's with 33' tires is what I run. With a goos amount of added weight it is a good match, plus it means the doorway to 34 or 35 is open when I get a sawzall.

If they have the drive by wire throttle body they don't have an EGR. For sure 2003 and 04 fall in this category

That is what I saw also. I was trying to see if I could get better info while sitting at work. Too hot to walk out to the garage and to the truck. But then I figured it's close to the holiday and if I go to the garage now I should just leave early. So that is what I just did, lol.

No EGR

 

Last time I changed my plugs, I think I bought equivalent NKG plugs at vatozone.

 

95.5 to 1999 or 2000 3.4v6 HAD an EGR valve and are OBD2. OBD2 has mandated in 1996 and newer.

 

Heading that way tonight. Plan on leaving flag at midnight and heading to la for the holiday. You need anything?

Dam it was the 3.0v6. Your right. 3.4....3.0 drats. But OBD2 was mandated in 1996.

EDIT: Just researched it I was correct according to factory service manual.
