good. the doors are the expensive part. luckily this house still has the home warranty, so I just paid the deductible. otherwise, it's afew hundred bucks to replace the spring I think

Hey guys @iJonny having Brandon making me sliders with kick out, and weld them on. He told me not to powdercoat it. Is that cool? I am worried about rusting? I was going to paint it with rustoilium paint

hopefully that's worst case scenario. the door opener itself is brand new, we replaced it when we bought the house. the door, tracks, spring, cables, rollers, etc are all kind of beat up.. so it might need some new parts.

same situation with my house. the cables aren't issue, if they just came off. mine was just a new spring and some minor maintenance, such as re-attaching the arm of the opener to the door, since it ripped out under the weight of the door. the guy's name was either carlos or gus... he said carlos on the phone, but when he showed up his shirt said gus. regardless, it was fairly straight forward.

lol. ok cool. thats exactly whats going on with ours. the cables seem fine, they just came off the spring. so im sure a new spring is in order. the arm is still good as I was careful and watching it the whole time.. because I was worried of that exact thing happening.

Personal preference but Josh is right. I used the spray on bed liner this last time and its holding up pretty well. They will require touchups, but paint is the way to go with sliders IMHO.
