That would be awesome. I will need to get some lights. The bright side is if you tip over you don't need a winch. There are enough drunk people to upright your truck, lol.

I'm using Shok Industries and Boom Mat as well as some spray foam. The Shok Industries pads are much denser than the Boom, but both are very good. @DukesTaco just finished his up a few weeks ago and is thoroughly impressed. I've been in a few 2nd gens before and after, and I'll agree it is a HUGE difference! Not only does the road, wind, exhaust, and engine noise get seriously dampened, but I expect my sound system to sound phenomenal! A couple of them have been sloppily done, only getting between 50 - 75% of metal covered and it was still a big deal. @DukesTaco and I are going for high 90's! I'm expecting it to be as positive of a change as re-gearing!

Maaaan I'm getting antsy for the truck... :goingcrazy: hate not having it.

BUT, Bubba from AZ Differential Specialists said the rear is done and had zero issues. In fact, he said the rear bearings and internals looked fantastic. I was surprised as hell to hear that. it hasnt been babied.. so go Toyota for some good rear-end gears. They applied gasket maker around the rear seal vs the fiber gasket that is leaking now... so thats awesome. They are working on the front and should have it done tomorrow afternoon.

So does that mean there's a job opening? I can't code but I know enough not to delete entire environments and their backups!
In all seriousness I've actually worked software systems design / UXO design before. One time I found out we had no validation for fat-fingering date ranges and just to fill out a bug report I plugged in a date of "19995" to a form and the whole environment came crashing down in spectacular fashion. (It was suddenly trying to generate report charts for 18 millennia!)

I've actually been considering throwing some sound mat onto the back wall of my utility package cab, as there isn't much sound proofing to start with. Possibly the access doors too, as there has been a small rattle in my driver's access door that's bugged me since day one.

My understanding is mat coverage is good, but even what looks to be pitiful coverage (basically peel and stick a single big square dead center) can be a godsend as far as rattles and absorbing low frequencies. So while it might not make for the best acoustics for your stereo, it can kill road noise and rattles with minimal investment & weight.

I've had my Shok mat for some time. Bought 2 boxes in a TW GB over a year ago ($125 each) and then bought the other stuff at SDHQ a couple days ago for $270. If doing it again, I would only use the SHok Mat. The Boom Mat is nowhere as good, messier to use, and a HELL OF A LOT more money. If I realized how much it cost, I would have never bought it. I just saw the price now! Lastly, a couple cans of spray "Great Stuff" foam at $14 each, and a small rubber roller at $14.
