    Yes.

    You should have the option in your modem/router combo to disable the router and use it as a modem only. Then you can get any other router and use that to distribute your internet out to everyone. You still might have an issue with speeds and if you do then you'll want to buy a modem separate and ditch the combo. Typically with the combo's when you disable the router it helps out quite a bit with the overall speed. What issues are you dealing with right now?

    if your wired devices are good and wireless is bad it's the router that's causing the issue. I'd get an aftermarket router and it should help. You'll still need to make sure that your current combo device can run modem only. As for routers I'm a fan of Asus routers. For a general home user the Asus Dark Knight router is still good and doesn't cost a bunch.

    There was recent chatter about batteries? I need a 27F for the wife's Lexus. Will the odyssey 24F work in place as its probability easier to locate? Where the place to get such a comparable unit as sears no longer carries their version?

    stick a meter across the terminals and you should be reeading at least 12.8 VDC

    a good charge rate is around 13.5VDC

    The second I shut it off it drops to low 10.x
