Regarding our little security talk, I came up with a pretty secure setup for ditch lights. Makes install and aiming a bit annoying but will deter theft on the cheap.

First off you replace your bracket-to-mount bolts with internal hex head bolts:


And then you follow up with a standard tamper resistant bolt (torx with pin or snakebite spanner or whatever floats your boat) on the cross-ways bolt that secures the light to the bracket.


You gotta aim the bracket before fully tightening, which will take extra steps on install (aim light, mark orientation, remove light, tighten bracket, reinstall light)... but there's no good way to get a hex wrench in there once the light is installed!

Mix in imperial and metric nut / bolt sizes, and you're not foolproof but you've made it enough of a pain in the dickhole to steal for under a dollar a side!

My security resides in my back pocket and not parking anywhere I can't check on my truck every five minutes lol. Another reason why I run cheap leds though. I don't race my truck so there's no reason to spend the money on lights that reach the next county and if mine ever get stolen its less than 50 bones out of my pocket.

Have an electrical issue with the bike. Sitting outside of sunflower waiting on a tow truck, eta is 90 mins.

Luckily I always have water and a granola bar on the bike.

Sorry Buddy. But, you planned on having fun w/o us so....

 

Anybody here know where i can get the entire quarter window latch assembly? I went to replace my broken part of my latch and the handle of the latch cracked trying to get the other piece in.... I checked around and they seem a bit tough to find in the gray.... With all of the parts.

EBay and Amazon had some, but they had pretty terrible reviews about them not even being the right ones.
