Work computer crashed yesterday at the end of the day. Took it to IT, said he would have it fixed before I got here today. Been sitting at my desk for 30 mins so far. No computer. Can’t work. Yay.

Trying to remote desktop into work, but I guess the power went out there yesterday and I can't get a hold of anyone.

Nope I use Foscam/Amcrest cameras. I don't have an NVR and I just use a computer with an FTP server to store everything. Then those files are uploaded to the cloud in case for some reason the computer takes a shit so I have backup's.

I didn't stay at my parents house long enough to get kicked the fuck out. It's such a weird thing to me these days the kids don't want to move out of their parents house.

Exactly man. I moved out when I was 17 & shipped off to boot camp on my 18th birthday. Love my family, but it was time to grow up and be a man. I’ve borrow money from my parents twice in my life: once to buy an emergency plane ticket & paid them back a week later; second time to retain a lawyer, and paid them back as soon as I could pull money out on a refi at the last place.

My older sister, on the other hand, stayed there until early 20s, now is 36. My parents still send her gas money to go to college and pay her utilities 2-3x per year. Her husband is a knucklehead, but only in the sense that he has no drive in life to better them. Sister actually has 3 associate degrees.

We were both in the military, so it’s not like I had a hand up in life or anything. Some people just never grow up.

Another thing that boggles my mind with kids these days is a fair amount of them don’t care to get their drivers licenses. WTH that’s about I’ll never know...

Dumbasses. Drivers license and car = freedom and the best part of being a teenager.

You have just described everything wrong with the generation coming into power... that scares me the most. The lack of drive, or desire to be independent. No one wants to prove themselves to the world, just stay at home where it is safe. News flash, if you are a lazy Fuck, my home isn't safe!

I stayed at home until I left for boot camp... two months after graduation.

I have needed help from my parents a few times, I didn't ask and I paid them back as soon as I was possible.

I have already told my wife, that when our son graduates, he is out. I will help with him get started, but his sisters will be teenagers and we need his room to prevent them from killing each other or me killing them. When the youngest graduates, I am planning a 6 month trip, she needs to be out by the time we come back... if we come back.
