Who all here is running dual batteries? I'm thinking of adding a second battery but I'm more confused each time I look into the options. Curious what my local crew is running vs the rest of the inter-webs as we know we have extreme elements here in the great state

Ah. I just keep a portable jumper charged and with me. Only used it twice and that was in my work garage (once on my crawler and once on a coworkers car)

I have 90% of my parts sourced/ acquired. After lots of research I'm going with the redarc bc D.C.
1225d. 25 amp smart charger , solar mppt controller
    https://redarcelectronics.com/products/dual_input_25a_in-vehicle_dc_battery_charger

Dual optima yellow tops and off grid engineering battery tray on the passenger side.

I have 100 watt panel on the prinsu, the panel will allow the charge to go straight to the dual battery and ease the load on the alternator.

I run an Arb 50 as my fridge, winch, lights etc. I have ARB 12v dedicated running to the bed.

Let me know if you have any questions, so many options out there. But in Az solar is A no brainer.

@Cr250jumper How difficult or involved was your fuel cell install? You have it working with the stock sender to get fuel level?

Its a bit of work, but you are doing SAS so its not anywhere near that hard. The hardest part is making a fill plate to adapt your stock items. Some people use aftermarket pumps that make it a little easier but I wanted the fuel level to work in the cab and didn't want to mess fuel delivery issues. Depending on which cell you use you might have to extend the pump so it reaches all the way to the bottom but that part is easy. But once you make a fill plate to bolt your stuff its all just plug and play, extend fuel vapor and electric but thats it. Its been about a year and no leaks and check engine lights

I just cut the pieces off my old gas tank, traced them on a blank plate, cut holes, then welded the OEM gas tank pieces to the fill plate. Uses all stock pieces, gaskets, etc

This is awesome. :transformer: Thanks. :hattip: Doesn't look like that much work. Did you also add tube for the fuel filler or just cap it there?

I used the OEM filler because it has to connect to the other vents for all of the smog stuff to work

Kick ass. I also like your clamp system to hold the cell in place.
