I used a 32mm socket :anonymous: Stuck the bearing in the freezer for a day before and it slipped right in without much fuss.

Freezers are awesome for interference fit items. Way easier because you can actually handle something that's about 30-something vs torched to hell, and on top of that even more sensitive materials (eg cam angle sensors) are able to be frozen to reasonable temps. Did that trick on said cam angle sensor on the Miata. Froze it in a freezer bag along with its fresh viton seal, pops right in.

Only thing you gotta worry about is condensation, but then again since we live in AZ it's hardly an issue.

Assuming I have phone service every time that would work.
Also assuming someone's around to help me out.

    Yo!
So... I would like to get out and into some dirt. I’m itching and need a fix. Plus I want to explore some AZ off highway action. I’m 2wd Locked and I have some decent experience. I can Wheel her a bit! I was loookimg at that “Trail Rating” Thread (?) and I’d like to start simple... Box Canyon? The back way up to sompin’ sompin’? Maybe Bulldog Canyon? What would you guys suggest? Anyone heading out for a day or two? Keep me in the loop!

Box canyon you could do. Both the florence one and wickenburg one. Back away to crown king might be difficult just with 2wd. But the front way up is cool to explore too. Sheeps crossing you could run too. Water crossing might be deep after the rain the last few days.

I heard that, I am actually dreading getting a lift for this very issue.

I should have never read the thread about the guy who lost part of the tool in the front dif.

I had the cops out already, but I found a couple of sketchy "used battery" places around the area. I am going to make some calls this morning. $500 reward for the names and addresses of the people who sell them my batteries.
