You got the big bad winch because you didn't want to get stranded in nowersville . It would be a shame to have the winch but not the batteries to work the controller. So always have a back up plan . Back up batteries in the house that get put in the truck the night before the trip (pre trip checklist) Batteries✓. As a just in case get the wired back up because shit happens and you could sit or crunch the remote .
