    One of the best decisions I've made. But it's a big pita to plan out and nearly a year of being gone every weekend. Glad I have a supportive and understanding wife. Would be really tough if we had kids.

    Its 800 miles, right? I think that if I were going to do it, ideally, I would just backpack it start to finish. Not saying I am capable or have the flexibility. Just a pipe dream. I would also like to do the PCT one day.
