It's more recent I believe. Wasn't how it was when I bought my truck, but definitely how it was shopping for the 4Runner last year. It's why we ended up going used.

It depends on demand. If people are dumb enough to pay it, that’s just the tax for being uneducated. Usually pros are above MSRP with “market adjustment”. I got my 4Runner off-road premium for invoice. Didn’t make sense for us to go used. 2016 Trails were almost as much as a new one. Pass.

It has been a thing for a while, used to be reserved for limited production high demand items. When I sold cars wayyyy back in the day there was not a late 90's Viper that left the lot for anything less than 5k over MSRP.

We tried every dealer in the valley and up here and no one would even do a sr5 for msrp out the door. We didn't save much by going used, and if it were me buying, I would have gone new, just wasn't in the fiance's budget and that $3k made a big difference to her. Oh well, got hers at a fair price and we are happy.

I havent paid over MSRP ever. The supply is out there. People get itchy and waste on paying over value.

Got a quote to get my roof wrapped for 450. Does that seem like a fair price?

I paid 500 for the material to do the whole truck as a reference. Took probably 1-1.5hrs to do the roof. Roof material is probably only $60-80. Just some references for ya

I'll do it for $150 labor. You order the material and bring it to me with the truck for a few hrs on a weekend I'm free

Seeing as it’s 1 to 1.5 hour job, $150 an hour or $100 an hour is wild

Your roof is pretty flat. Watch some YouTube videos and go for it lol.

I'm just broke trying to make an extra buck at 1/2 the professional rate. Don't hate me

But if you do try yourself, getting around the shark fin/ antenna and 3rd brake light can be tricky.

Plus like I said, for just the roof, you're probably gonna be $60-80 in materials. So even if you completely fuck up and decide to redo and call me for help, it'll still be cheaper than his quote

Checking out a mountain bike tomorrow, full suspension too. I've been searching for a while and finally found a nicer bike for a good price. @Enjoihavok helped a bunch with me deciding which one, thanks
