Heading up to the Mogollon rim tomorrow afternoon to camp out off FR300 if anyone is looking for something to do. Since my ankle is fucked I really did not feel like spending a weekend on a couch again. No 100% sure where we will be set up yet, just depends which way the smoke from the Whispering Pines prescribed burn is blowing. Possible locations Myrtle point or out closer to Pine. Lows around freezing though. Sunday will wake up and explore a bit then grab an early lunch at That brewery. Might as well use my AZT coupon now since I wont be going through on the trail this year.

Trying to decide on what tires to put on the Enkeis... wanna go on the less aggressive side but still AT.
Looks like the choices are Yokohama Geolandar AT015, Continental Terrain Contact AT, or Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus.

I guess I need to look at some reviews but it looks like they should all be pretty good but have decent road manners without going to an HT tire.

Yokos are the cheapest. $134 from discount tire direct.
Pirelli and Conti are basically tied at $155 and $153 respectively.

The Pirellis make me think of old school dirt bike tires which is cool, but at the same time I probably shouldn't buy based on looks... Then again I have done that before on tires. :anonymous:

I currently have Wildpeaks and while I will not badmouth them one bit, they are more on the "aggressive" AT side of things.
    Heavier, closer to an MT.

I'm looking for something slightly more road mannered.

I am not a brave enough dude to go sport truck tire and take it on dirt.

Yeah that ended a couple days ago, I went in to Big O to look at tires and also get some air while I was at it.

The sales guy was trying to sell me some Nitto Crosstek 2s. Looked a little weak kneed for any off road use. Very much an HT.
