I have OME Dakar leafs in my '99. I just put them in a week ago and they are a massive improvement in ride over stock with the bonus of a lift, I got about 3". They have done really well with the limited off-road I have done with them as well. Keep in mind that if you carry a bunch of weight in the bed of the truck all the time, they will probably need the AAL that you can get for the OME springs to increase the carrying capacity of the packs. At least that is what everyone has been telling me.

 

Dakars are awesome! i have 70k miles on mine. They flex well, don't break, and comfortable

 

I am running 2 sets of the additional OME http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/EL46XL-P--OME-Extra-leaf-for-EL095R-springs_p_1829.html so basically their HD pack. Camper is about 350 lbs, 150lbs of drawers in the back, plus liquid in the cans. I carry another 200-300lbs of gear without any problems. My white flippac in the above picture was heavier.

Damn bro good luck with surgery and rehab. You'll be in the best hands. I got discharged on 11/13 and now I'm in outpatient rehab at a 3rd party offsite place. Already missing the Mayo crew and their amazing methods. Tell them that Adam says hi and is doing well. I kept them entertained as best as I could. Watch out for the staggering amount of young gorgeous nurses in that hospital, too!

 

Got my handicapped parking tag and I also get the right to legitimately use these bad boys! Hope to be driving the Taco again in a couple weeks once my double vision converges again!

I know about the good looking nurses! I've had around 25 surgeries there. Everytime there's one or two new hotties. If Mayo gave out frequent fly miles, I could fly around the world. LOL!

 

So while I was out cruising around I ran into a decent sized runner meet over in Scottsdale at one of the big strip mall areas. I think they are from the Arizona runner fb group. Curious if any of those guys are on here?

 

Well, the weekend was going well until this morning. Pop got rear ended on the way into Good Guys. The chick that hit him was a bitch too and snarky like it was his fault.

Good thing he body new body guy was down from CO showing another car.

Gnarly course. Took us right about 20 hours. My section was crazy. Deepest silt that we have ever seen. Only hiccup was us slamming a tree at 60. Thankfully truck was still good and we jammed another 500 miles to finish. Looking like a top ten may be possible, we will see how everything shakes out. That tree hurt, gonna have whiplash for a bit!




Don’t know how the truck stayed together so well from that. We had no issues after. Got lucky!

Those silt beds though, I can’t even explain how gnarly they were. Miles long and way wide, middle of the night. Cant stop because you will get stuck, but you also can’t see. So just pedal down and hope for the best.
